I promise I have been wanting to update you about our life. I think I "left-off" last time around Easter, and now we are fully into Summer at our house. Today was the last day of preschool for the year. The whole preschool and many parents attended the graduation program. Only in a Texas preschool program in the hill country would you hear Kenny Chesney's "I saw God today" as the background song in the end-of-the=year viedo. Why should we be surprised. It tells the gospel well. Another highlight was hearing the children sing the books of the bible followed by "Deep in the heart of Texas." Needless to say, we loved watching our boys from the audience as they tried to follow their cues on stage. And boy they are really catching on to the Texas theme!
Since April soccer has come and gone for Coach Kevin and Preston. We had the best group of kids and parents, which made our first try at a team sport very fun. Preston scored many goals including one in the last game that was caught on video.
Kevin has continued to hack away at our home projects. Including defeating our largest obstacle of laying sod. The 6 guys that helped Kevin after work one night finished around midnight and did a fabulous job of helping us complete such an enormous task. We can't say enough about how happy we are to have that project behind us!
We continue to have the babies due date on the forefront of our mind and the main motivation for finishing our home projects. Its hard to believe that we have been in our house on 6 months when so much has gone on to make it more complete. I even entered Kevin in the Home Depot Hardest Working Dad contest, hoping to get some Home Depot gift cards out of the deal.
Thankfully the baby's heartbeat is going strong as we head into the last stretch. He seems to be kicking stronger and moving more; probably trying to make some room in his cramped little space. So, about 2 months to go!
